I don't listen to Frank Stasio very much.

But if you'd like to listen to my father talk to Robert Siegel, here you are:

I've always pictured him as a dude who owns a ton of hats

He don't wear 'em, though. He just has a lot of hats. Probably schedule a show at the North Carolina Hat Museum in Oakboro.

NPR is the worst. Only reason to listen is for Car Talk reruns.

Diane Rehm doesn't sound anything like the Cryptkeeper. His voice is very high and sibilant.

I like the Indian dude's social science segment, though I feel like I rarely hear it.

That's Shankar Vedantam. The segment you're talking about is usually with David Greene on Morning Edition. You should listen to his Hidden Brain podcast if you like his work.

Ha, maybe that's why I rarely hear it. I normally listen to sportsy radio in the morning.

[Edited on April 14, 2016 at 8:35 AM. Reason : also, his accent is like way cool]

It seems like they really like each other. I like the back-and-forth between them. Greene will be all like, "Okay, but that seems completely counter-intuitive." And Vedantam is all, "That's right, David! These results were very surprising!"

lol.

thanks for the info. Now I can look him up; I always forget his name by the time I get home/to the office when I can look him up. I have the memory of a [insert animal that people assume has a bad memory, but in reality, doesn't, but people just want to feel smart by using a metaphor, so they make up facts to fit their need to make themselves think they sound smart].
