Figured I'd give this a shot on TWW..

I'm moving into a house on April 22nd, and I'm looking for a subleaser on my 1 bedroom apartment off of Glenwood Avenue, about a mile from Crabtree Mall. Rent is 600 a month, and the lease lasts till April of 2011. (Rent on this is cheap in comparison to other apartments in the area, and the apartment is well worth the money.) New carpet, countertops, appliances, etc. just before I moved in, and I've kept it in pretty much immaculate condition. Had the office install a new deck, which overlooks the Raleigh Area greenway.

Must be vetted by the Apartment at lease signing.

would be willing to throw in a $200 cash incentive if the apartment approves of you taking over the sublease.

are any utilities included?

No utilities are included. You would need PSNC for the gas hookups (I've never had a bill over 19.00, even in the dead of winter) and electric typically runs about $15-$25. The apartment charges around $11 bucks roundabout for water/trash/ etc.

Let me know if you need any more details. The place is super quiet, and the apartment is one of the back apartments overlooking the greenway, so you get ample privacy. No parking passes needed, so parking is never an issue.

Hey email me some information please. I am actually looking right now for a place in the area around that time. I would need to be able to move in by the 15th at the latest though...Idk if that would be a problem...and if you could just cover the admin/pet fees or anything I would def be interested in taking this from you. Rebecca.head1@gmail.com...email me what you think and I'll get back to you when I get off work tonight or tomorrow

north or south of crabtree?

Not sure if it's north or south of Crabtree, but if you take the Glenwood avenue exit, its going away from downtown, and towards Durham. To get to the apartment from Glenwood, you would turn onto Fairhill drive (from the Mall, its a left). The old Ragazzi's would be on your right and the Cape Fear Animal Hospital on your left.

The mall is actually closer then I thought. 0.4 Miles.

Let me know if you want more information.

what is the traffic like going towards 540 on glenwood in the morning?

Traffic's not too bad, but that's all dependent on when you leave I would imagine. I work in RTP, and I can take a straight shot down 70 (Glenwood Avenue) to Miami and be there in 20 minutes, leaving anywhere between 6:50-7:15. I've never had any accident's block me on the way into work, and maybe 2 accidents on the way home that have backed up traffic for about 30 minutes. (Having traveled on 40 in the morning, that is a blessing to say the least.)

You could get to 540 two ways depending on where you are headed. Towards Durham, you'd probably want to go 70 west and hit the 540 split and be there in about 10-13 minutes. If you are going East, you'd probably want to run up Creedmoor and hit the split about 6 miles up.

still looking for a subleaser. apartment is listed again by the apartment for $635, whereas the sublease is $600 and coupled with the $200 cash incentive, rent is equal to about $585/ month. New appliances, carpet, paint and countertops just before I moved in.

is glenwood the only route to campus from there? it doesn't look like there are any traffic-avoiding backroads on google maps, but it's not obvious...

there are a couple of back roads between campus and this place. couple of the backroads will take you to blue ridge which runs pretty close to campus. 440 is also an easy hit to go to either western or hillsborough. its about 10 minutes with traffic on average from what i've hit.

bump...

i will actually be moving out the weekend of 4/10 and 4/11, so anyone who is looking to get in sooner is more then welcome to.

had a few leads, but nothing locked up. really would like to get this subleased. Still offering $200 cash at lease signing, and you'll get to keep my $100 deposit which is a total of $300 in incentives to lease.

Again, rent is $607/month, and lease is up in April 2011. After incentives, rent equals out to about $580/month!
