Speeding ticket in Albemarle, anybody have lawyer recommendations?

i dont even think that good lawyers are required to get out of speeding tickets these days....

^ that's not usually true.

very rough rule of thumb:

DIY: 9-over

Lawyer: $250 out the door, gets you a non-moving violation.



but yeah, if it's just a run of the mill speeding ticket, 15-20 over or whatever, just call several lawyers and go with the cheapest one. It's traffic court--you aren't hiring someone to go be Johnny Cochrane or anything.

hell, in a lot of rural counties you can just call before the court date and speak to a da/ada that will reduce it over the phone to the point of it not being worth fighting. the county gets their money for some sort of fine+court costs, and you get to walk with no insurance points. i'd try that first. if it doesn't work, then worry about a lawyer.
