My crazy ex-roommate left her cat when she moved out. I'm about to move myself and cannot keep it. If I cannot find it a home or a no-kill animal rescue by Monday I will have to have it humanely euthanized. I've been trying for almost two months.
Help me in my aggressive search to find it a home this weekend.

Give it to any animal rescue before having it euthanized, at least then it might have a chance.
..with that said, it's adorable. 4/22/2010 8:34:43 PM |

Adorable cat.
I wish I could help you, only because of your double major. I'm allergic to cats. 4/22/2010 9:09:41 PM |

You can always try the Goathouse Cat Refuge:

We found a cat and couldn't keep it and they were kind enough to take it in. We did give them some money for shots/food though since they are at capacity. Wasn't the ideal situation but it made us feel better that it wasn't put down and might go back to get her at some point.
Good luck, I hate to hear about any animal being put down for no reason. 4/22/2010 9:58:11 PM |

does she (or do you know if she would) get along well with dogs? this is a serious question...i've wanted a cat for a while, and my dog is rather indifferent (or, at least, she shows interest until on hisses at her, at which point she whines a little and walks away)...however, my fiancée's dog LOVES cats...perhaps more than she should, since it usually takes a hiss or a swipe to get her to leave it alone
that said, she's gentle with them, she just likes to play with cats and cats don't usually like to play with her
male/female? spayed/neutered? clawed/declawed? 4/23/2010 8:09:35 AM |

Does not compute. Why would you worry about finding a no kill rescue if you're going to kill it anyway if you don't find one?
That being said, Second Chance Pet Adoptions or Marley's Cat Tales will take it. I can pick it up if you need me to.4/23/2010 8:55:10 AM |

Glad to see this cat is going to get a home. My wife and I have three male cats already (neutered though)...we don't really much more room, especially not for an un-spayed female. 4/23/2010 2:03:45 PM |
