Long story short had some serious rootkits/malware get on my system this morning.
Shut down and booted to my AVG bootable CD. Scanned the machine and found 20 or so trojans. Removed them all.
Booted up and ran HiJackThis and there still was entries in my startup, services, etc. HiJack wouldn't remove the entries. Ran SpyBot and didnt remove them. Finally ran ComboFix and it took care of them all.
It always seems I have to fall back to combo fix every time. 4/28/2010 4:55:44 PM |

only if you have a 32-bit operating system...unless something has changed, 64-bit isn't supported and therefore this golden god is useless to me and many more people who purchase computers every day 4/28/2010 7:35:49 PM |
