Holy crap these burgers look good. New goal in life: Make and eat at least one of every one of these burgers.

(Side note: I think that's the voice of Brock Sampson narrating)

Made Number 13 - "The Roadhouse" on Friday. It didn't look as awesome as the picture, but it was as tasty as the picture looks.

Cassanova just looks like a Cuban Burger with mushrooms instead of pickles. Lameeeee.

^ Yes. Thank you. I read that post and about shit myself. Red Robin is a joke of a burger. Flavorless, shitty quality burger. Throwing a bunch of sauce on an unseasoned burger doesn't make it good.

I made Number 9 - The Gypsy on Sunday. It was delicious but not as good as the Roadhouse. The cucumber addition gave it a nice crunch though, and given there were more vegetables, it left me feeling a lot less like I was going to have a heart attack.

^The Pioneer looks amazing but my picky girlfriend doesn't like mushrooms so all the ones with mushrooms on them I have to just make when she isn't around.

I'm making the roadhouse tomorrow for some friends. Does Food Lion carry gruyere? That and a small Lowes Food are the only grocery stores I've got in town. If not I've heard swiss is an acceptable alternative, but I'd rather make it to specs.

Every Lowes Food I've ever been to had a very comprehensive cheese section, whereas Food Dog most certainly did not.

I think you underestimate how small this lowes is. It's literally lowes foods store #2, the second one that ever opened (first was in wikesboro).

And while it is a bit more high class than the food lion here (has a much better good beer selection) I don't suspect it will have huge varieties of cheese. However I'm not sure exactly how specialized this gruyere is, it's very possible it could have it.

I was able to find gruyere at a local Super Target. It was pretty expensive though... $9 for a small block of it. It's worth it though, the Roadhouse was really good. I'm thinking of making the Crabby Joe this coming week.

gruyere is expensive

to make up for that, whenever i find a good sale (usually at a super walmart or target or some such) I just buy as much as possible because i know when push comes to shove and i want french onion soup im gonna pay the 10$ anyhow.

I made the Crabby Louie last night. I gotta say it wasn't as good as I was hoping. Nowhere near as good as the Roadhouse. The Crabby Louie has avocado and [of course] crab on it which sounds kinda good but I really don't think the flavors mixed well, especially with the beef. The crab was naturally kinda sweet, the avocado had a very prominent taste, and it was just a weird combination with the beef. Not bad, but not great. I give it a 3/10. As a sidenote, I'd give the gypsy a 6/10 and the roadhouse an 8/10.

The roadhouse was awesome but TBH it was a bit too onion-y. I think it would have been better on a standard kaiser roll instead of an onion roll.

Why do so many people associate fatty foods with obesity?
You do know that you still have to actually over-eat, right? It's not like: Bam! You ate cheese so you're fat!
I love cheese, bacon, mayo on burgers, etc. and I have never had more than a 33" waist.

In other words, no foods are off-limits to skinny people who exercise moderation.
