I grew up in Roxboro. There is pretty much nothing for an adult to do there.

i guess i'll just spend a lot of time fishing. hopefully i can find someone around there who'll let me hunt their land for cheap/free. i don't think i'm ever gonna actually be happy with where i'm living until i'm less than 30 minutes from a decent inshore fishing spot anyway.

yeah i drove through there and the whole place looked like one big shithole. i mean, usually a town will have like a nicer area and then like a shitty ghetto area, but this whole places was shitty. down at the south end there's like a walmart, a lowe's, a food lion, and a golden corral. those were the only places i drove by and actually would've felt comfortable entering.

My mom grew up there. My grandmother and aunt/uncle still live there. The uncle's brother owns Clarksville Station roughly 3/4 mile north of Palace Point. It's definitely not a bad little town. I have spent many weekends and extended vacations there.

And they have Cookout, Bojangles, and Biscuitville all within 1/4 mile of each other.

not from Roxboro, spent time there as a kid and visit 4-5x year to see fam and whatnot. It's pretty boring even by small town standards. You've gotta eat @ the Outer Banks Restaurant while you're there, it's the medicine. I know the concept of a small inland town and decent seafood don't generally mix but it's really more soul food than seafood.

I lived there til i was ten and then summers and stuff with my dad. Go fishing. palace pointe is not a good place to drink too many 14 yr olds wandering around there

If you're into hunting and/or fishing, there is plenty of opportunity for that. Place point is ok to go catch a movie or kill some time, but there's really nothing to go out and do for the most part.
