I'm back at NCSU starting in the summer to pick up some non-degree credits. I already graduated from NCSU last August. I don't have outside health insurance since the calendar year cycled, and I was no longer a student. The Student Health web site was a little wishy washy about whether or not I will be eligible to receive Student Health services, and whether or not I'm expected to have outside coverage. Has anyone else dealt with this situation before, or can you point me to something that spells out what non-degree students have access to?

I was a Non-Degree Study student last fall and was able to use the women's center with no problem, so I don't think you'll have an issue with using the health center.

if you don't pay the student health fee, then you have to pay for each visit

or at least that's how it was back in the day...

NCSU insurance, and that of all the UNC campuses, is now done through Pierce and Pierce.

Everything you need to know can be found here. https://www.pearceandpearce.com/PearceSite/Schools/NC/NCSU/?CollegeID=203

It still works this way.

I don't know why you would need to avoid the health center at all costs, we have one of the best facilities in the nation (minus the mental health part, but only because they are understaffed). And all the ladies there are super nice

Why? My experiences have been something short of awesome. I'd love to find a private physician half as thorough.
