I have a sturdy wooden small tv stand that it sits on top of right now. Recently got a corner desk for my room so dont have space for this anymore. The stand is not particle board, dont know what type of wood it is but its strong. Ive stood on top of it and I weigh 200 pounds.

Your best bet will be craigslist. Put that thing up for $100 and I guarantee you'll have it gone either tonight or tomorrow. For some reason people on craigslist don't know that you can buy a new LCD TV for the same price as a tube.
