We have tons of these little fuckers all around the outside of the house, but this one has been popping up quite a bit lately. So I ask you TWW.....What the fuck happened to his tail?

The other day I came home and there were 2 of those bitches on my front porch. One of them had the other's head in it's mouth. Do these fuckers eat each other? 5/10/2010 6:29:56 PM |

I might be biting on troll bait but don't they lose their tailes when they are frightened/picked up by their tails? 5/10/2010 6:46:15 PM |

No troll bait here, I am genuinely curious. If that is the case, that's pretty fucking sweet. I love living in the country! 5/10/2010 6:47:24 PM |

They fight, I believe.
Also, I'm pretty sure they can grow back lost tails, legs, etc... 5/10/2010 6:49:43 PM |

some lizards loose their tail on purpose when they feel threatened so the attacker/predator will eat the tail and then the lizard gets away, they grow new ones 5/10/2010 6:49:44 PM |

It will be pretty cool watching it grow back (assuming he doesn't get eaten by something) 5/10/2010 6:49:58 PM |

Yeah many lizards have detachable tails.
If you grab them by the tail it comes off and keeps swinging around by itself for a few minutes.
The lizard will eventually grow another tail. 5/10/2010 6:50:31 PM |

^^Lol ok.
They lose it and it still wiggles around as a defense mechanism/distraction and hopefully it can get away. I hope Geico makes a commercial regarding this phenomenon.

I've always wanted to see one's tail fall off. It would be so weird to have regenerative body parts. 6/15/2010 11:40:26 AM |

my project in AP Biology was testing the effects of common vitamins on Planarian regeneration. vitamin C killed them all within minutes of contact 6/15/2010 11:44:08 AM |

also isnt it true that they only have regenerative capability if you split them the short way
if you split them longitudinally they die 6/15/2010 1:12:52 PM |
