At least we're getting a whole new L&O spinoff set in LA called LOLA.
I look forward to watching it while I drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry cola. C-O-L-A cola. 5/14/2010 4:17:13 PM |

I HAVE SEEN THE PILOT. IT WAS SHOT ON 16MM FILM AND WAS GRAINY AS HELL. THERE WERE NO WOMEN OR MINORITIES, BECAUSE THERE WERE NO MINORITY COPS, LAWYERS OR JUDGES. IT DID FEATURE A YOUNG "MR. BIG" FROM SEX AND THE CITY. NONE OF THE ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS(MOSTLY FAT WHITE GUYS) LASTED. WHEN THEY STARTED HIRING CUTE GIRLS THE SHOW LOST ITS GRITTY REALISM, IN MY OPINION.
THAT SAID, JACK MCCOY HAD SOME FINE ASS SECRETARIES. 5/14/2010 4:32:28 PM |

^ I do too. But I still like the original L&O. I hate LOCI (if they're going to abbreviate L&O: LA as LOLA, I'll abbreviate L&O: Criminal Intent as LOCI). I'll check out "LOLA," though. 5/14/2010 5:14:15 PM |

Quote : | "An acting coach named Catharine Fontane (Poehler) instructs a class of acting hopefuls who would like to land a short three-line role on Law & Order. One woman (Rudolph) reads a scene with Fontane's assistant Kenneth (Hader). Fontane tells her that she's not moving enough and redoes the woman's entire scene, except moving inexplicably at all times. Another actor (Gyllenhaal) performs an entire scene without having to read the script, much to the amazement of the coach, who kicks the other hopeful out after his scene. They continue to perform acting drills like "spot a dead body" until she brings in a Sam Waterston impersonator named Barry Edley (Armisen) and they recite the intro to every Law & Order episode. " |

Everybody loves SVU.
I remember growing up on L/O, and we'd all huddle around the TV...every once in a while, it would be a sex crime or something involving children, and we'd change the channel because we don't wanna see that!
It turns out the rest of the country was pining for these "special" episodes...they made a whole series off of rape and child abuse...I remember one episode they had a baby that was raped digitally...I coulda gone my whole life without knowing about digital rape, but nooooo, I thought Stabler was cute and watched anyway.
