so i found some lesbian porn on a laptop in the windows media player jumplist and i need to know who was watching it...

i don't mind. i enjoy some good porn every now and then but this person is far too young to be watching porn.

If this is about children, just be an adult and ask them… it shouldn’t be too hard to ferret out who the culprit is.

beats me - but that would be useful to know too i guess...might show up in the add/remove programs dialog

and yes, i'm horrified of confrontation so i'd rather be 1000000% sure before i do confront him about something this touchy.

it's porn

it wouldn't be any less awkward if it was a confrontation with a respectable adult either...

i guess that's just how i was raised. we don't talk about stuff like that.

If it's streaming video you could use a transparent proxy - which, obviously, would be invisible to them.

And if you can't find a decent keylogger with google on the software front there are hundreds of them on ebay or a myriad of tech sites that go in between the keyboard plug and the motherboard transparently logging everything typed.

First link in google:

You don't out right say "hey are you looking at this hot lesbian pornography"

you just ask about the computer and if they get nervous, then you probe deeper.

Be less of a bitch. You're gonna have to man up and do a lot of things for your family, it's not good to perpetuate the cycle of American prudishness by being unable to approach your kid about something like this.

It's time to put on our big boy pants, and do some parenting

That was on a webcam attached to a laptop students could take home, installing a keylogger on school computers to monitor usage during school hours is completely fine.

^ Are you reading a different thread? Perhaps one where dFshadow mentions this laptop he's installing this on is not taken home, in which the monitoring software will only be used during school hours on school property, and how a keylogger will be used to determine who is using the computer at any given time without using the webcam to verfy the person sitting in front of the computer? I'm presuming the requirement to email the logs means he can't just hop on the computer whenever he needs to, hence the assumption it leaves the property.

Quite an assumption, why didn't you just ask instead of assuming that just so you could act like an asshole?

Anyone else remember how hard it was being a kid? Dial up connections made porn browsing painfully slow.

Kids these days have it so easy.
