Games don't take up that much space. I don't really download movies to my xbox either. I opted for the smaller HDD.
So for music, pictures, etc... I just network my xbox to my desktop computer, and stream all of that stuff. For movies, I just do that whole xboxlive - netflix thingamadoo.

I would highly recommend getting a used 20gb hdd (if you want to be able to play xbox 1 games) as they're something like $18. I bought mine from someone for $13 as that's what gamestop was going to give them for it. I took it apart and put a 250gb 7200rpm drive inside. Now whenever I get a new game, I install it to the hard drive and don't have to hear all that fucking noise when I play and the xbox runs significantly cooler (HUGE plus since they have >50% premature failure due to heat). All together that should run you ~$65 and you get 250gb instead of the 120gb available on the elite.

I had to buy a very specific model of laptop hard drive, flash it with rom of another hard drive (took ages to make a bootable usb drive), and go out and buy a torx head bit that all my other toolkits didn't have. I still feel like it was worth it, but that's because I like doing that sorta thing
