There is a 3 to 6 drop per minute leak coming from my rear gas tank. I'm assuming this will probably be an expensive fix if they are to replace the entire tank so I would like to prolong the fix as long as possible. Would it be ok if I only use the front gas tank for awhile? I figured it would be fine but I wanted to get an opinion on it first.
This isn't my everyday truck but I still drive it a few times a week. 5/24/2010 9:48:45 AM |

they put 2 tanks in those things? have you seen where the leak is. I know ford has a little floater valve on the top of the tank that breaks/cracks a lot. might want to check that. If you do have to replace the tank it shouldnt cost that much. in fact id be willing to do if for half the price a shop would charge you. 5/24/2010 1:34:45 PM |

if you only drive it a few times a week, why not just quit using the rear tank? we only used the left tank on my grandaddy's old chevy b/c the right leaked. 6/3/2010 8:41:07 AM |
