yea. i guess they are just sour or tart cherries.

i like this kind for pie (except when making the pie i end up eating lots of the cherries right out of the can. oops):


they are sour and not super sweet sticky pie filling type cherries. those are icky.

(they aren't pie filling; they're just canned cherries. but yea it'd probably be amazing with fresh but TRUST ME it is the best pie ever)
