I've seen enough videos/testimonials of women on the battlefield crying because their emotions got in the way. I'm not saying all women are like that, however, stereotypes come from somewhere... They don't just make themselves up.

You're conflating social gender with biological sex. War should always remain a "man's job", as in a masculine one. Biological women will do fine if they "man up". If you're mostly feminine (whether male or female,) you probably won't do well in combat.

I've worked with quite a few marines in my time, and yeah.... that's just the mentality in the military in general. I don't see it changing anytime soon. I'd say your best bet is to realize that it's not personal. I think that military personnel sign an unofficial agreement when joining that says they have to do their due diligence to fuck everything that moves :-/

I know that's a little too much of a blanket statment because I've met a few nice/smart(brilliant even) marines in my life but the majority of them definitely live up to the 'grunt' name.
