This issue angers much more than hippies and rightfully so. I am far from a hippy and am deeply concerned about the oil spill. Many people are so far removed from the ocean that they forget how much they depend on it. If this oil ends up hitting the gulf stream and coming to NC we will have major problems. It could very well end all commercial and residential fishing in our state. Do you realize the economic reprocussions of that? We will be importing more expensive and cheaper grade seafood from god knows where. Already endangered marine mammal populations could plummet, reef systems could be permanently killed etc. etc. etc. This is not just an issue for tree hugging hippies, it is a problem that humanity as a whole should be concerned with. If we keep fucking with the ocean, we're going to eventually fuck ourselves out of existence.

Yeah, we will have an influx of activist hippies that will come to NC and bitch and moan everywhere. Then they will have music fests and their "smoke pot and do nothing" attitude will dilute our workforce with unemployed people. Police forces will be diverted from real emergencies to deal with assemblies of hippies (see the Hillsborough Riot). Additionally, the large influx of hippies will increase the strain on welfare and the increased ratio of whites being on welfare (let's assume most hippies are white) will result in an outcry and appeal to the NAACP by Al Sharpton, race riots, race wars, and an overall fucking of this glorious state.

The ramification of the hippie influx are far more extensive than my thought just now, its mind boggling to think what will happen to our poor state
