Optimum what was your vision before LASIK and were you near or far sighted

I'm near sighted at about 20/60 and have often considered LASIK

probably nearsighted, 20/worse than me

what was the purpose of the glasses? just in case you accidentally poked yourself in the eye, even though people generally try to avoid that post-LASIK or otherwise?

like, i can't describe it because i heard it second hand and i haven't actually had the surgery myself

she said she could see fine now while driving but had to wear cheap reading glasses after lasik

^^ yep. they were meant to be warn for the first 24 hours after the procedure, then every night for a week after that. mostly they were there to guard against the usual non-thought motions that people do, like rubbing your eyes in your sleep, etc. the first week or two is the most critical in making sure that the corneal flap that they create heals back up.

^ dunno, i never had to wear glasses solely for reading myself.
