I couldn't care less about kids wearing them. They are supposed to be worn by kids. They are not, however, supposed to be worn by 50-something women.

If you hit people with them sideways they just hurt like a bitch. And if you got one that was made wrong it wouldn't "slap" correctly if you hit in a certain way, so you could slap the everloving shit out of somebody's wrist. Also, just slapping them on desks.

Yeah, all the slapping that was done with those didn't go over well. I think those were banned shortly after a lot of us showed up to school with them.

My 10 year old niece and her friend had like hundreds of these things the last time I visited. They organized them and traded them. They even played with them and accessorized them as though they were actual toys and not just misshapen rubber bands.

They remind me of POGS. They are banned in some elementary schools because the kids fight over them. I take them away from my students as punishment but I give them back.
