This and the stolen bicycle thread say it all. The husband and I want an apartment for us and the cat, or a room in a house with one roommate or a couple that are not stupid thieving bags of shit. We plan to keep it under $600 a month. Let me know what you have. We are great roommates and buy our roomies laundry detergent, TP, etc. in exchange for them not damaging our stuff. The current roomie will come home to a sudden TP shortage after letting her friend steal a $2k bicycle from us.

What is the place on Cary Parkway right there off the US 1 ramp? Stratford maybe? A roomate and I checked it out a couple years back and a two bedroom was in the $650 range. I would have to imagine a 1 bedroom would fit your budget. Then you don't have to share the place with anyone but the cat.

No handicap access, we can carry the bikes inside. And they will live inside. Today mine goes into the storage unit until we move, along with all the other toys. I'm going to try to look at a first floor apt. today, but am not happy that it has a sliding glass door.
