i joined in january along with everyone else who made a new years resolution but i haven't been too often lately. monday i'm vowing to get back into it...does anyone do the yoga classes? i'm a beginner so i'm afraid to go alone and get looks of judgement

the Y does not seem like a very judgmental crowd. after all, it is a christian association.

i've never felt judged any other time...especially in group classes...i'm just nervous to be the new kid in a yoga class since they are so small...but hey, everyone has to start somewhere

I'm there four or five days a week. Mostly mornings until I find a job.

I never really noticed a huge jump around New Years when I go. It was bit more crowded, but nothing like my old one in California.

yeah i didn't notice it in the mornings as much either, but in the afternoons, it's nuts

guessing this might be because the new years resolutioners are half-assing it and they sure as hell are not getting up when it's still dark and 25 degrees out to go to the gym before work

Do they have specials or waive rates for people who are unemployed?

I also want to take the yoga class

when i was signing up RIGHT after new years i was pretty damn worried about crowds but after the first week in january i noticed a great decline in the number of after-work goers. in the winter it's much easier to get in the morning workout than the afternoon...regardless of the 25 degree weather. i've decided i'm going to get back into the morning routine so i can spend my evenings outside when it's warm. plus working out in the morning is one of the best energy boosters for me. it feels great to be so productive at 630/7am

^ i think they do have a special payment program... you should call-up or go in and ask

I'm there 5 or 6 days a week. Sometimes twice a day if I'm really pissed off at something.

But alas, not today. I managed to fuck my shoulder pretty good yesterday.
