^^ for real. her story is soooo lovey dovey its gross. met these dudes from ireland in vietnam, had drinks a few nights, they hit it off while i suffered through talking with the other guy (barf - she owes me) and then when we got back they skyped for like a month, he came to see her for like 3 weeks (HERE) and they really hit it off and she just went there for 2 weeks and came back and wants to move there

its craziness.

I feel you I got to Amsterdam on Tuesday, had bags lost, flights cancelled, hostel I booked didnt exist and had to stay in a shithole hotel thats beyond description, didnt sleep for days... now Im in Rome and I wont see anybody I know til I get to Prague on Sunday. It sucks a bit but I like not having people slow me down. I got to see all that I wanted in London on a 9 hour layover. Just go to a bar and talk to the guy next to you and youll find people to chill with in the mean time. Where are you

The couple of times I've traveled by myself I've enjoyed it. I did an 18-day backpacking trip in SE Asia a couple years ago and that was great. Back in May I traveled for about a week by myself. That wasn't as fun but I think that was also because I didn't spend as much time thinking about what I would do while at my destination. It was still enjoyable though.

i went all over europe with a group of friends and had a great time. but i also had an awesome time when i went to rome alone. nobody else had money to go so i went by myself. of course, i met people the first day i was at the hostel that i walked around with and still talk to them on facebook

in all honesty getting my bags lost was the best thing that could have happened because I had enough in my carry on to get by and with both bags I would have been miserable getting around, plus the airlines reimbursed me for all the stuff I had to buy (phone charger, an outfit, etc.) and now I'm in Prague living it up. I had a great time traveling alone and I did meet people at the hostels but having an ipod and chilling myself was fun. The whole NCSU institute is here in Prague and we're having a blast. Weed is legal here and you can smoke more openly than in Amsterdam and the prices are 10x cheaper. A 12 oz. beer in Rome at a bar is like $6 or more and here it's like $1.50 or less for a half liter. Prague is also beautiful as hell on its own

depends entirely on your personality. I prefer to go places by myself and meet interesting people. Thing is tho, u has to be very intuitive and willing to try on alot of hats to have meaningful interaction with complete stranger.
