he starts crying like that during the season 3 finale when he tells Joey to go and choose Pacey if that's what she really wants. so she runs off to find Pacey, and Dawson has the worst crying scene in the history of television.

and there's no James Taylor in that scene, WTF.

when Dawson's dad died (car crash) i'm pretty sure he was singing along to Drift Away, but i'll check when i get home
