Raleigh, N.C. — One person suffered life-threatening injures in a shooting in Raleigh Wednesday morning.

Police said the shooting occurred at 1315 #B Kent Road, off Western Boulevard, around 6 a.m.

The victim, whose identity wasn't released, was transported to WakeMed.

No arrests have been made.

Passed a bunch of cops and WRAL on the way to work. It's only been a little more than a month ago that I cut through this place on my way through the woods to Kent and got yelled at for making one of those goddamn dogs in the trailer park start barking "on the day of rest," as the old man yelled at me.

When I lived on Kent we'd hear gunfire every once in awhile. Makes me glad I no longer live there

There have been violent crimes at Trees & Leaves, sure. There have been violent crimes on pretty much every street with a rental property within five miles of State. I don't think Kent has had a violent crime in, like, three years until now.

Honestly, I'm more upset by that house full of fucking hipsters on the Western end.

Yeah, right next to University Meadows. I used to live there, too. I never paid much attention to Trees & Leaves until I moved into University Meadows. Then, it struck me that every building in that motherfucker looks like it has a meth lab in it.

I got in to a car wreck there once in 2004....the people who lived in that house on the corner of neeley and kent were really friendly. They came out and offered weed and beer.
