Will it be able to handle games like CoD MW2 & Oblivion? Here is the specs:
I won't end up doing any serious gaming, but I'm just wondering... Oblivion is a must.
I ordered it yesterday...

that resolution blows IMO, but if the price is good then go for it 6/18/2010 5:25:45 PM |

I wanted a 15.6" so I could easily fit it in my backpack; I have a 21.5" monitor that I'll end up using... I got a $300 discount due to my dad's employee pricing (after warranty & printer). 6/18/2010 5:27:55 PM |

lol my old 15.6 dell is 1920 by 1200. My netbook is 1366 by 768. But yeah that should handle most games at that low resolution. 6/18/2010 5:55:17 PM |

^if it was a Precision workstation laptop, its entirely possible. Their workstation laptops have had insanely high res screens for years. 6/18/2010 7:18:11 PM |

^link? I'll get a used one.
I'm used to my IBM with 1600x1200 native and new laptops are just trash beside it. A full HD screen would be awesome 6/18/2010 7:44:22 PM |

Dell has had 1920 by 1200 15" laptops forever. Mine was a Dell Inspiron 9100 with a pentium 4 3.2ghz and ATI 9800. I still have it. Don't use it for much though. Got it in like 2004. Played Oblivion alright.

Was a beast though. Almost 10 pounds and pretty much a desktop replacement. Got me through the first couple years of college until i built my first desktop.6/19/2010 10:53:46 AM |

Both of my Dell laptops were high resolution screens. I still have both, but the 8000 doesn't get any action these days, and the 6000 stays at home on a desk as my secondary use computer.
1600x1200: Inspiron 8000 that I bought in 2001.
1920x1200: Inspiron 6000D that I bought in 2005.
My work laptop (Lenovo) is that awkward 1400x1050 resolution. I'm at least thankful it's not anything less, though. 6/19/2010 3:00:05 PM |

^^sure it's really not worth more than like $150. Everything works fine except the screen hinges are a little loose and i'm sure the battery doesn't last more than like 45 minutes.

I didn't know that, I had been looking for a 1920 by 1200 screen for a while and had trouble finding them on a lot of models. I assumed they only came on 17" models, and then only sometimes. Work got me a 17" 1920x1200 precision m6500 recently.6/21/2010 12:30:28 PM |

This shit's absolutely gnarly; I came home from Puerto Rico to find it inside, still in the packaging. I love everything about it so far, still installing/transferring shit and I haven't had a problem. 7/3/2010 1:01:41 AM |
