^ that's funny b/c my 4 year old daughter found a regular rubber band on the table and I was showing her how it was a special silly band by changing it from an egg to a cookie to a race track. Later I heard her playing with it showing one of her toys that it could be all of those things.

no, they were tiny little round beads strung into colorful patterns. kids used to buy the beads and take orders for necklaces at school. probably sold them for around a dollar. i think they may have evolved into the hemp and shell necklaces at some point.
