I had a gift cert for xmas from my sis so they were only $30
but my SO at the time thew a big shit fit over how much I spent on a stupid pair of jeans.

I realized soon that if he was that worked up about how I spent MY $, how much worse he would be to be married to. All I could think of is him just shitting bricks if I brought home a 20k diamond one day. or any diamond for that matter. I realized we came from different worlds and it would never work out.

We are still friends and I think he is a great guy.
