I've made one for myself before.

Honestly, I'd prefer a normal cheeseburger most of the time. This has too much bread, and there's something about the cheese being melted directly on the beef that makes a cheeseburger awesome.

You get that extra-thin bread (or just thinly slice it yourself) and layer like this:

grilled cheese sandwich
bacon
more cheese
burger
onion
tomato
lettuce
grilled cheese sandwich

The bread slices must be so thin that they simply provide enough structure to hold all the cheese together.
