why on God's Green Earth would you want to have a joint party?!?

doesn't that go against everything that bachelor/bachelorette parties stand for?

Suggestion: Take your respective groups of friends and go spend your last TRUE night as a single doing things that you'd feel guilty doing if you were married.

(Like looking at naked chicks/dudes and/or having her/him rub on your dick/vagina)

I hope you're looking forward to a lifetime of condom use, an 11 o'clock curfew and taking your shoes off become you come inside.

This is horrible idea

Seriously though, what's the point of this. You can do something like this after you're already married. Thus, why bother? Sounds like someone's bday party.

i see no problem with a joint bachelor/bachelorette party...
but then again there's not much more that i would do if cody wasn't around than if he was...

the sunday night thing is a little off, but maybe they work at a job where they have mondays off?

^There's no problem with having the party, but change the name and still have separate bachelor/bachelorette parties. B/c this party goes against those by its very definition.

i guess....

i think what annoys me is that people think of the bachelor/bachelorette party as a last big night with they boys/girls where they can get wild before getting married.
and if that's the case, i thin kyou may be marrying the wrong person

that being said, bachelor and bachelorette parties are no more than just another boys/girls night out for me. maybe a little raunchier.

but also i guess it would be fun to be the center of attention in one

Honestly the best label for this "joint" party is a pre-wedding shower...not a bachelorette party.

(ncstatetke is just pissed that I sent the ants to annoy him)

lol.

i guess if we're arguing semantics a bachelor party shouldnt be what it's called.
but wouldn't a shower entail that people are bringing gifts?

hi5 on glenwood

they have 2 back rooms that you can make in to one, so you can just put the barrier up and be together but separate

I really agree with Joie on this one. I don't know why it would be that strange to have a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. I think it'd be really fun! If you are doing stuff at your bachelor/bachelorette party that could be considered cheating or something you wouldn't want your partner to see, then you PROBABLY shouldn't be doing it. Just sayin'.

Strip club. Watch your girl get a lap dance and realize that you will never see that again after the wedding.

I agree. I don't get the point of a joint party like this AT. ALL.

The whole point is to go out and have fun with you and your friends before you are officially settled into the married life. I think it's a fun tradition and it sucks when girls feel the need to crash on it!

For my bachelorette party we might do a spa day and grab drinks downtown, maybe even get a hotel room down there to finish the night off with a slumber party

the whole point of having separate parties is to send the message to your SO that you do, indeed, trust them to NOT do things behind your back that they wouldn't do in front of you

just sayin..

i'm not saying separate parties are a bad idea ya'll!

i just dont understand the hate for someone who wants a joint one.
seems sorta analogous to people who think weddings are stupid waste of $$ to those who want one.

the only think i do not agree with is:

Quote :
"The whole point is to go out and have fun with you and your friends before you are officially settled into the married life"

i hate this idea of once you get married.... you can't go out and have fun.
negative captain

and also who said the girlwas trying to crash the guys?

this...i mean, i'm doing a bachelor party, too, but it's going to be a backpacking or kayaking trip, something a bit more strenuous/adventurous than my fiancée would be interested in doing

yeah, i can (and will) do this sort of thing when i'm married, too, but who cares? the idea of a "bachelor party" is an old one, but the idea of getting wasted while a stripper rubs her sweaty butt all over the front of your pants is relatively modern and simply not anything that i feel i need to do as a single guy

the guy came into the lounge looking specifically for bar rental suggestions, not to take a poll as to whether what he and his fiancée want to do is cool with the rest of you
