Well, my night has greatly improved;

1. teething and it's causing jaw tension and headache-headache is gone for the most part thanks to shower
2. bf-less. said he was coming home today but now he isn't-he is surprise coming home, I guess he really does like me.
3. hungry, no good food to eat, unless I cook but I'm cranky - found a full on carb goodness hidden in my freezer. Not the healthies but definitely yummy and filling.
4. Pretty much broke until next Friday-still broke but glad I didn't buy dinner tonight.

For today, being 9am

1 - 5.5 hours of sleep
2 - Got my clothes out of the dryer from being in there all night. Some are still wet, but they all smell like shitty detergent.
3 - The clothes I hung up in case the dryer wouldn't dry are still wet.
4 - I couldn't get to the grocery store last night so I have no breakfast
5 - I only have a few pieces of salami meat and crappy cheese to make my sandwich
6 - ...except all of my bread is moldy
7 - Now I have to buy breakfast and lunch, putting more strain on my very limited funds
8-10: Miss g/f, home, money, no job, etc

I think I'll stop there.

1-9 Customer sent me a large cache of image files for his website. Except their company is based in china and all of the weird file names (due to conversion from something - mandarin?) PISSED OFF the server. Apparently PHP wasn't ready for all them extra characters. Since it's an unusual problem it took me forever to figure out what was causing the problem - the site cache was crashing every time it hit a crazy character.

10 Just finished renaming all the files by hand and resetting the cache. All is kosher now. And I'll be back at it in like 5 hours

10 - Looks like its going to rain today. I left my umbrella because it looked fine from my window. Its going to be a 10 minute walk to get lunch. I did bring my thin hoodie, but...fuck

Honorable mention: On the bus ride I somehow activated the 'fake call' feature of my cell phone. That makes the cellphone ring and act just like you're getting a phone call, and it says 'Unknown' for the caller ID. Made me feel like an idiot when no one was actually calling me.

1) One of my most productive engineers left the company on friday
2) I found out yesterday that my technical leader is being promoted to manager, so i'm losing him too in a few weeks.
3) I can't hire full-timers to backfill these positions
4) About half of my direct reports are paid more than me
5) My wife is starting her third year of residency on 7/1, so I won't see her much for the next year.
