^ Believe it or not, I actually liked Byrd. He lived a long life but I'm sorry he's gone--he was a great orator and he had great knowledge of the Constitution. I didn't wish him ill at all.

I was just trying to have some fun with the juxtaposition of Byrd and Helms. And I've always wanted to do the goodnight, sweet prince thing.

If you want to be serious--and Shit Shat is hardly the place for it--I object to the hypocrisy of the left-wing media. If Helms had been in the KKK, it would've been noted in the first or second paragraph--if not in the headline--of every obit in every left-wing media outlet going.

I wasn't gonna argue the point too strongly, don't worry. I also read today that he was the valedictorian of his high school class, and couldn't afford to go to college at that point. All things considered, he did pretty well later in life.
