I still do this at Christmas. Unfortunately those are pretty much the only 5-7 days I see my whole family the entire year.

Actually, I haven't been with my sister, brother and parents together at the same time since my sisters wedding 16 months ago.

I'm on a family vacation right now! Ours actually *started* when we all grew up and left home. Now that we're all married, my parents rent a condo for the whole group at the beach, and we all come for the week. It's great, but my family is pretty awesome to begin with.

we're spread all over the country and it's about the only time we see each other. like once or twice a year.

we've done skiing out west a few times, but this year we've got a 6 bedroom house in eagle beach, aruba. 10 days. leaving day after christmas.

although it's getting interesting with fiances, married siblings, and the like. but im taking the gf. should be rad.

Last summer I went to Topsail Island with my family. One of my dad's friends came along... his wife recently died and he had been a family friend for years so we all knew him and figured he could use a trip to the beach. Myself and my sister got to share a room with this dude and he snored so fucking loud it shook the room. It sounded like someone was slowly strangling an elephant. It was horrible. Then he got up to go to the bathroom but someone was in there already. Instead of holding it he just pissed himself right outside the bathroom all over the floor then went back to bed. Good times.

I guess maybe if you don't like your family. My girlfriend and I are flying down to Florida for a week with my parents, brother and sister. We have had a "family vacation" where we were all together every year since I was 4 years old except for 2002 when my mom had a hip replacement and 2005.

I love going on vacation with my family. We genuinely enjoy each other's company and have a great time. My parents live in Charlotte, I live in DC and my sister lives in Florida. We don't see each other much if not for these.

We took family vacations up until 2004...then it just got hard for all of our schedules to work out. Now things are different...hopefully one day we'll take a family vacation again. My dad mentions going somewhere in South America every now and then at Christmas. I would so be down with that.

I went with my parents, sister, brother and his gf to Maine (everyone over 20 and I'm the only kid left in Raleigh). We drove up in 22 hours straight (stopping in VA beach to pick up my sister) without the gf on the way up in a minivan. Took two days driving back but there were 6 of us in the minivan going back. I had a ton of fun, I love my family.

with that being said, I need to find a way to get out of going to dad's beach house this weekend for a "family reunion" which is just the same immediate family I'll see at Thanksgiving and Christmas...ugh I hate the thought of wasting a whole weekend at the beach minding my p's and q's like I'm at church

My family is so small (at least the one I would go on vacation with...to hell with the rest of my family), that family vacations are pretty nice...although we rarely take them.

It's me, my mom, my stepdad (the 2nd one), my sister, and her husband.

My sister doesn't drink, but me and the bro-in law drink heavily. My mom is a lightweight and the stepdad has a couple drinks and that's it. So me and the bro-in law get shitfaced, my mom gets tipsy, starts crying and telling everyone how much she loves them, and my stepdad and sister just sit back and watch everybody and laugh.

It's good times.
