Back to the Future II is set in 2015.
30 year increments - 1955, 1985, 2015.

Or are they referring to something else? (as V's link says, Doc was going to enter a date into the DeLorean in the mall parking lot before the Libyans showed up. Was that supposed to be July 5, 2010? Wikipedia: "However before Doc can make a trip twenty-five years into the future, Libyan terrorists, from whom he stole the plutonium, show up and gun him down. The date that Doc originally was planning to go to was today. The date that they end up going to (after marty's trip into the past) is 5 years from now.

it doesn't matter that he initially set the clock to 2010, because they never actually go there and therefore that future is never depicted in the film. so who cares if today is that day.

the only future shown is 2015 and that's in BTTF pt 2. and it will probably be nothing like that IRL
