Where do I get it in the UK? It is legal there... should I order from the internet? If so, which sites, and which of the many types/concentrations I remember seeing some years ago on some site.

And how is it used... I guess smoked? By itself, or with some filler like tobacco?

Finally, as someone who has never done any drugs, should I do it or not?

No way, the psychotic effects only last for a few minutes at best, if you are even effected by it. If you have never tripped, I would avoid Salvia, because it isn't a good experience for most people.

I dunno what you've heard about it, but salvia is an INTENSE hallucinogen. It can take you into another dimension. It can also make you believe you are something else, like a fish in your fish tank, or even a fucking chair. Look up trip reports on http://www.erowid.com

If you are trying to do a hallucinogen, talk to someone who has done them before, and don't start with salvia. Also, have a sitter, someone sober to watch you and make sure you don't do anything stupid.

shit is terrible. do it once, do the puny 5x stuff, it'll be enough. it's a hallucination with a falling backwards while rotating type feeling, makes you stare uselessly at whatever is in front of you, should you manage to stay in your chair. i smoked it once out of a bong - a fat bong load got me twirling for about 30 minutes, then the terrible horrible awful comedown headache/migraine followed.
shit is fail fbi and aids all at once. just smoke some good weed, or hash whilst drinking some dank local brews, much more satisfying.

You should definitely search the web for more info on how you wanna take it.

Also, I suspect head shops in the UK would have it, but you should ask someone there. I wouldn't go with the internets if you could just pick it up in a shop.

I don't think there's any reason for you to do it or not do it. It's just whatever you wanna do.

I tried it once, and for me, it was not a pleasant experience. The intense effects lasted a couple minutes. Apparently, I got this really retarded look on my face. My friend thought this was hilarious and was laughing her ass off at me. I thought that I was a patient in a mental institution being wrapped up in mattress, and that my friend was an evil nurse laughing at me maniacally.

For a few hours afterwards, I felt kind of dumb--not dumb for doing it but literally dumber like I was slower to process stuff. I may have experienced an improved mood over the next week or so but that could have been a placebo effect--I desperately want psychoactive drugs to be a cure-all for depression, anxiety, and other mood difficulties.


Some people may be able to read into my experience (patient being abused by nurse) and draw conclusions about my unconscious. If this is the case, please don't share...I don't wanna know.

Wow, what a suprise... I thought TWW would be all like GO DO IT MAN.

Since we go to the UK once a year, here is the dilemma: Either I do it now, when my daughter is very little (1y 4m) or I do it later, when she is 18 and has left the house. But it will definitely be illegal by then. I guess I could always head to Holland then, as a 50 year old and wanting to experience psychoactive drugs for the first time ever I don't think any other hallucinogens are legal in the UK, so if some of you are saying I should start with a milder hallucinogen, well, I don't want to break the laws. I have never had a hallucinogen before, but I think I can handle one pretty well, based on my experimentation with intense dreams and dreams where people and voices surrounding you become part of the dreams. I love stuff like that, so I think I would like salvia. But who knows, I might have a bad trip and come out of it all paranoid and crazy.

Pretty much everyone I know that's done Salvia says not to do it. I've been the baby sitter for people on salvia trips, and from what I've seen of it, I'd say not to do it.

the thing about salvia is...

people think "Oh, awesome, a drug, and it's legal! Let me try it...I like to experience new things, and to expand my horizons."

But the thing is, it's legal because it sucks...the gov doesn't need to make it illegal, since nobody with any experience wants to use it anyway. And it expands your horizons only in the sense that it would expand your horizons to eat pig shit, or fuck a filthy old homeless woman. There's really nothing fun about it. I've done LSD, mushrooms, weed, coke, and little other things here and there, and salvia is undoubtedly the WORST of the lot. F- drug, would never use again.

no, salvia really is just horrible. yeah you can get some pretty awesome dissociative effects but it's enveloped in such an unpleasant body response that it's not even close to worth it. and the extracts you buy in head shops are a far cry from true entheogenic 'diviner's sage'
