I was outside at the Times with a few friends and these two goofy-looking white kids rolled up looking for a lighter. We could tell they were shitfaced and/or on something, and they told us four times they had missed the last bus to North Raleigh.

One of my friends messed with them for a little while, asking them what they did (response #1: "everything" #2: "roxys, oxys, and we smoke buuuuuddddd"), and they asked us if we went to State at least six times.

Finally they asked if we had any cash for a cab; we all said no. One of them pointed to the tip money we were leaving on the table and said, "Hey, there's some cash." We made it clear that it was a tip (it was in the check holder). "Oh, for like the bar guy."

Meanwhile, the other idiot had wandered behind me to the next table; the couple there had paid their check, put a tip on the table, and left.

I hear this piece of shit pick up the money and crumple it up to put it in his pocket, and I wheel around in time to see it in his hand.

When I said, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?" he was a deer in headlights.

When I said, "Put it back or I'll call the cops on your ass right now," he slammed the money back on the table and said to his buddy, "Yo, we gotta dip right now."

Who the fuck does that low-ass scumbag shit?

Even the pathetic dude who stumbles to every table asking for change won't take tips off a table. Jesus.

This explains why so many bars in the Raleigh area fail.
People drink alcohol and then they steal all the money from the bar which they use to buy more alcohol and steal more money. It's a vicious cycle of drinking alcohol and gaining wealth that unfortunately takes it's toll on the owners of the establishment and their staff.
