definitely!

el cheapo ballpoint pens are the worst for me, ESPECIALLY the thick ones that are harder to hold.

YES.. it is, actually. I only noticed it when someone I met gave me a pack of pens from Japan that were .38 mm and my handwriting looked much neater.

I found that I write slightly more neatly when using this gigantic bulbous pen I got from a vendor.

Yes, but mine is actually better with cheap ballpoint pens than most of the middle-of-the-line other kind of pens ... I am totally blanking on what they are called right now. But the ink is finer or something so my handwriting with them always looks kind of skritchy.

i have arthritis in my hands from broken fingers and boxers fractures so my handwriting is only legible with the most comfortable of pens. generally though i've moved to a tablet and onenote so i can just type when neatness is critical.

My handwriting is significantly worse if I use a super-fine-point pen.

I'm a sucker for Sharpie pens. They're amazing.

absolutely

my handwriting looks like shit with almost every pen ever, but I can write really neat and clearly in pencil or with one or two specific pens that I've got.
