If I want to hear music, I'll change the station, or tune in to their one music show.
It wouldn't be so bad, but they play the music at a much higher volume than the talking.
I'm forced to get up and turn it down (because I'm not gonna listen to ten more minutes of that crap.)
Then sometimes, I forget to turn it back up, and miss some of the next show or hourly news.

I was talking with a group of avid NPR listeners recently at a party. I don't remember how it came up, but we all admitted(with much embarrassment) to being so sick of NPR that we had started listening to Rush Limbaugh. Not because we agreed with him, but because it was the only mentally stimulating thing on the radio dial. You know NPR sucks when they lose listeners to Rush.
