You'll never have to guess again. Check out their voter registration.

I, too, need to change to unaffiliated. I thought I already had, but I guess I was wrong.

I don't wanna be a Democrat or Republican. They all suck!

the Ohio site is more secure, it requires you to know what street name a person lives on and it doesn't tell you that person's partisan affiliation, just the full address and voting history

and the Indiana site requires you to know the birth date and county, and it also doesn't provide partisan affiliation, because you can't register one as a voter in Indiana

The Pennsylvania site requires the same information but it provides partisan affiliation and tells you where a person would show up to vote

p.s. I am a Democrat

I, too, just found out about this when it was posted in the soap box. I had a jolly time looking up all my co-workers.

99% of the people I know who claim to be "independent" or "unaffiliated" usually end up voting straight Republican every time. I think they just say they're independent so they feel like they're some sort of rebel or something.

maybe they say they're independent/unaffiliated because they are but when it comes time for elections, you have two choices, for the most part, and they feel that conservative views line up moreso with their own views, thus vote republican the majority of the time.

and you can't pretend that trendy hipster independents don't do the same things.

1) Glad everyone is enjoying the voter look up tool I posted that has existed forever

2) Transparency in government ftw

3) If someone isn't so ideological that you can't guess their party affiliation already, that probably says something about how much it means to them. Basically, if you don't know where they stand already, you probably shouldn't go judging them based on what you learn on that website.

4) It doesn't give a complete voting history or who they voted for.

5) stop stealing from the soap box & start posting there more if you're interested in the materials there !

I mean, I know my regular stomping ground in the study is a lost cause, but the soapbox is still worth saving. Throw it a pity post once in a while.

you numbnuts may not know this but you are allowed to vote for whoever you want in a general election. the only benefit of being in a party is being able to vote in the primaries. all you unaffiliated bitches get to sit on your asses on primary days.

^if you are unaffiliated you can still vote in the primaries, you are just asked which party's primary you would like to vote in.

^^here we can talk about politics and not be serious. or even know what we're talking about

^^^^i have never been to lily's, but i've heard it's delicious!

You are right, but it's not a law or a right, it's a privilege that those unaffiliated can vote in party primaries. Those parties could take that privilege away.
