So I just moved into a townhouse about two weeks ago and my neighbors on one side play straight Euro house techno all day every day and I can hear every beat of their bass in every room of my house. This goes on from like 1-9 every day.

I've asked them once to just turn down the bass, not even the volume and they shut the door in my face.

Who can seriously listen to hardcore house techno all day?

3. Break into their place one day when they're not home and puncture their subwoofers

This reminds me of the time my neighbors in the dorm decided to have a party during dead week. I spoke to them twice and asked them to keep it down. Unfortunately the music and the noise would creep right back up and it went on until after 3:00 a.m.

The next day, when I got up at 7:00 a.m. for my 8:05 exam I proceeded to beat the shit out of the wall with a bicycle U-Lock for a solid 20 minutes. I could hear them yelling "shut the fuck up" and I just kept yelling back that they should have shut the fuck up last night. lol.

Does this townhouse have a management or association of some sort? I'd be surprised if there aren't noise restrictions in the bylaws. Find out who is in charge and tell them you don't pay $XXXX a month to live like you're in the ghetto. Worked for me when I lived in Kensington Park which is quite funny because, as we're all aware, that place is pretty much a ghetto now. It was much better a decade ago although it wasn't exactly high society back then.
