I didn't have any service on my iPhone (first gen) in Clayton while my dad had full service on his 4g iPhone

my kindle hasn't had signal all freaking day, and normal have 4/5 bars

Manteo has signal just fine. The north end of the island, not so much. If you get right on the northern end on the sound you can grab a little signal.
