personally, i think the massive military and defense spending this investigation is meant to draw attention to is more a threat to our country than any exposure of "top secret" locations. isn't top secret pretty ho-hum as far as security goes nowadays? 7/22/2010 8:54:34 PM |

I think that a lot of what the article says is fine
But to pinpoint locations in one easy to find resource seems to be going a bit far. It would seem that it's just an invitation for anyone to make a shitlist of places to attack. There are a lot of people (both foreign and national) that don't agree with the work that goes on in these locations... 7/22/2010 8:57:17 PM |

i'm guessing the visual nature of a map plus the anticipated typical reaction of "oh, let me see what's in my neighborhood" being used to draw the reader in, is why they chose to use a map
but i also see your point in that if somebody were so inclined to use this data to harm those institutions, the post is handing out 2 years of research in an easily consumable format
or maybe that's what they were going for - "now that this map is out there, somebody could use it for bad, i should be afraid of all this top secret secret stuff cus somebody might try to attack it, and therefore i should think we should get rid of all this top secret stuff"] 7/22/2010 9:03:26 PM |
