Somewhere in extreme northern Canada sounds good about now. Or in the wintry parts of South America. 7/26/2010 1:06:46 PM |

Seattle is awesome
Most people think it rains all the time, but its only during the cold months
In the summer, it actually has less rainfall than place like New York and Detroit
The engineers of Safeco field didn't realize this 7/26/2010 1:38:56 PM |

^^NYC actually gets more rainfall than Seattle, year after year. It's just perception that Seattle gets more rain.
homeslice11, go to the New England coast. Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, etc. Shouldn't be overly hot there. 7/26/2010 1:56:48 PM |

Not Savannah. I just spent a long weekend there with a big sweat stain down the ass crack of my shorts the whole time. 7/26/2010 2:01:02 PM |

WTF are you babbling about? I intentionally ignored the domestic, since it's hot as fuck everywhere domestic. I thought that was obvious.
Northern Canada isn't hot. Neither is southern South America since IT'S FUCKING WINTER THERE, YOU RETARD.

go to the San Juan islands off the coast of Washington state. GREAT weather (well, the one time I was there in the summer a couple of years ago, it was so cool I often wore a light jacket).
I recommend Lopez, but Friday Island is more built up if you also prefer more restaurants or the like. And they have a whale museum. heh 7/27/2010 12:37:41 AM |

Why wouldn't you want to come to SF?
It's a kick ass city with awesome nightlife and great restaurants. One of the top 5 party cities in the US, up there with Miami, Vegas, New Orleans, and NYC. Yeah it's expensive, but other than that why not check it out? 7/27/2010 1:21:06 PM |

ya SF is great too. The only reason I give the nod to San diego is because it has slightly better weather. Both are great cities you just can't beat the 70 degree days and 60 degree nights. LA is too hot in the summer. 7/27/2010 8:42:02 PM |

I live up in Estes Park, CO right now. The locals are all OMG ITS SOOOOOOOO HOT when it hits 85 in town. Down on the plains, it's the same complaint at 90/95.
But it's fucking DRY 7/27/2010 9:16:44 PM |

have you ever actually been to Portland?
it is one of the most boring, over-hyped cities in America. I had the misfortune of spending a weekend there last october and I was bored out of my mind. The bars suck, the people are fat and ugly, and there's nothing to do.
why on earth anyone would take a vacation there over Seattle or Vancouver? 7/28/2010 6:52:27 PM |
elkaybie All American 39626 Posts user info edit post |
sure have. I went to visit people that lived there, so maybe it's more enjoyable that way.
We also went to the coast for the day (saw the Goonie house!), Multnomah Falls, and skiing at Mt Hood. I'm sure all those places, in addition to Portland, are just as enjoyable in August as it was in February...minus the skiing part of course, but it's gorgeous out there right now.

^ I went to Portland 2 years ago for the 2nd time, and we went to the Cascades in search of the Bagby Hot Springs. Finally found them 4 hours later. The weather was great in late September. 8/4/2010 7:45:30 PM |
