Well, where to begin? I'm broke-ass and I would like to graduate sometime this century. I've played this game for about 3 years now off and on and I started the account back up recently in hopes of selling it. I came to the realization sometime back that I have zero self-control and that me and MMOs don't belong together.

So heres the long and short of it. I've done a little bit of reading and it turns out, surprise, that account sellers/buyers are subject to loads of wonky scams. Of course Blizzard sort of turns a blind eye to it because they seem to think that something I have built and poured money into (subscription) belongs solely to them , yet a an account that changes hands still puts money in their pockets. Basically everything I've read has told me the safest way to sell/buy an account is in person, so thats why I'm going to try here and craigslist before turning to selling it via the intarwebz.

INFO:

I am the original owner of the account.
I'm asking $600 for the whole shebang (figure id get that out of the way).
I've got 3 lvl 80's on the same server and a slue of minor characters. Warrior, Warlock, Druid are the 80s.

Both the warrior and warlock have multiple independent sets of gear. The warrior has a tanking set, a pvp set, and a dps set. The warlock has a dps and pvp set. The druid has a mix-mash of the two as he is the newest.

I'm not looking to get proper-fucked out of my property as I'm sure you don't want to set your money on fire while someone laughs at you, so its best to play it safe. If you are interested in the account you can come check it out. The whole package will include my wow account merged with battlenet, world of warcraft, the burning crusade, and wrath of the lich king. We can change all of the account info (password, email, etc.) in person, with money in hand of course.

Please let know if you have any questions (obviously I won't answer those that have to do with character names or account info through email). I'm pretty positive this account is worth this much but the price is negotiable, and ideally the sooner the better so I don't have to keep paying the subscription. Also, if you have suggestions that would make you feel more comfortable about the whole thing feel free to lemme know. Thanks.

On a side note, I'm mildly interested to see what the trolls post as this is, admittedly, some pretty nerdy shit. It's cool though, all in good fun, they can eat a dick .

The fine print says the account is their property and you lease the account from them. By playing, you legally agree to these terms. So you can go around thinking you own the account and that it's your property, but you'll just be bullshittin yourself.

your characters have badge at best. only one of them has maybe 3 items relevant to this tier and they're no kind of best in slot. sorry man, you won't get more than $200 for your account and even that is pushing it unless you have 100k+ gold.

Yeah $200 is a little silly. Say gold is worth $3 per 1000, thats $300 by itself. You see gold spammers all the time saying "we sell lvl 80s $180" or there abouts and I figure those are bare bones. Figure you can get a maximum of 93 frost badges in a week if you did everything which you can't with a bare bones lvl 80. So, lets say it takes you 3 weeks, rough estimate, to get a toon with decent gear. Well there are 2 toons with decent gear capable of 25 man ICC raiding. One of them is a tank, and both of them have a pvp set and the warrior has a dps set. $200 is low. I know it wasnt a real offer but thanks anyway for the interest.

I should have sold my character when I quit At the time I hated the idea of selling it in case I came back to play with friends etc. It was worth a good bit at that point. Now when I am to the point where I couldn't care less whether someone plays my character, it's not worth anything haha.

No way in hell this is worth anywhere near 600...

Gear on the toons are garbage and way out of date..... Not to mention there is nothing special at all with any of the toons.. I'd say you'll be lucky to get 300 out of it

I have a feeling some of the negativity is coming from people with uber-geared characters. Maybe the gear on these characters is garbage to you, but the warrior and warlock are capable of raiding ICC. Matter of fact the warrior MT'd 10 ICC the other day. The account may be worth 300 to you but you certainly couldnt find a comparable account for 300. If you dont believe me, just look.

On a side note, can anyone recommend an easy way to display gear? Since armory updates I realize those links are not necessarily indicative of a certain set of gear. The warrior for instance has 2 tanking trinkets instead of pvp.

I'm still entertaining reasonable offers.
