I would love to use this, but not for my personal email. I need to be able to use this on my google hosted account. It's pretty useless to me on my personal gmail because all the people I email with any frequency I'm already connected to on LinkedIn, Twitter, etc etc.

Yeah, just a bit. The "old" unity system is still alive, but they're trying to retire it. All students got moved to a google-based system in July, and faculty/staff will probably be moving sometime next year, following a disastrous attempt at moving all faculty/staff to Groupwise.

And you can't telnet in anymore (insecure, passes clear text passwords). You can ssh, but only if you can access a departmental server. No more login.ncsu.edu.
