If a Banks Turbo back exhaust or a MBRP turbo back exhaust system is installed on my 2500 Duramax, will I still be able to pass inspection for emissions? Just not too sure about the exact emission laws are.

unless the rules changed since I moved away from NC 2 years ago, you only need a safety inspection with a 3/4 ton truck. 8/8/2010 10:08:15 PM |

I'm assuming there's a visual inspection for DPF system components on the newer trucks, yes? 8/9/2010 8:27:03 AM |

What year is the truck? I think when they started putting the particulate filter on they might require some sort of smog emissions...not too sure...anyway I had that exhaust on an '03 duramax and it sounded great. 8/9/2010 11:48:53 AM |

Its a 2009 so it has the new huge tail pipe with the filter that catches the smoke into ashes so it doesnt blow. Also, would you recommend the Banks or the MBRP 8/9/2010 8:28:54 PM |
