I am getting about 85% of the questions on the practice test right and it is telling me that is really good. If MBA school thinks that 85% is really good instead of just average, i think i am going to like it.

anyone had experience with admissions at the Jenkins part time program?

I have about 3.5 yrs of great work experience and a non-stellar undergrad gpa. ~2.9

In those 3.5 yrs I have been promoted 3 times already though. What's the deal, am I good?

The GMAT is like an easier version of the SAT.

undergrad degree is in Mech Eng. Work experience has been in manufacturing (e.g. started as process engineer, moved up to reliability engineer in the same plant, got promoted to corporate product development engineer and now manufacturing improvement engineer)

you should be golden.

ok lowering to 500, since part-time and you are right up their alley, esp. w/ manufacuring.

I guess I could ask the admissions ppl the req.

I could have gone, but I gotta go be a wifey in Gboro

well, thanks for the real talk. sorry you can't do the program right now. I have convinced two of my other friends to do it with me since they have always been talking about it and weren't ever going to actually do it.

I signed up for the GMAT and starting talking about it to friends. these two were both like, damnit now i have to sign up for it.

Everyone is different but I scored around 640 or so on the practice test and ended up getting a 720 on the actual test. I'm a stupid good test-taker though. My point is that if you are doing well on the legit practice tests you should be fairly confident you'll do well on your actual exam.

i am the exact opposite test taker

i can murder practice tests

and on the real thing, completely bomb. and be like, wtf i was getting 70% right on practice tests?!

which i am positive will happen w/ the bar. so. can't wait to get that envelope in the mail. not. i will probably just throw it away and not even look at it.

i am taking the practice tests from mba.com

it's the GMAT prep software. I am hoping that the practice tests are harder than the real deal.

I want to hit that 700 mark

I'm pretty sure those questions on mba.com are very similar to those on the test

The GMAT was the most difficult standardized test I've ever taken. And I've taken the LSAT, the GRE, GMAT, and SAT.

if you don't read a lot, the verbal can be tough. I read tons and got a 790 on the verbal.

however, it was 5 years after college that I took it, and I hadn't done shit for math in the military. I got a 650 on the math part.

I was shocked. on SAT, ACT, GRE I always crushed math and did worse on verbal. but then I concentrated in statistics at b-school and killed that math. maybe I just had a bad day?

wait, what? are you saying you took the SAT 5 years after college, because the scores you posted are not representative of GMAT scoring.

So either you're a liar, or you have horribly mistyped what it is you meant.
