Or something similar. I have a 350W power supply, which may not be ideal for the 9800 but I read that it should work as long as I don't have a lot of other stuff consuming power. Let me know what you got.

It depends on your PSU. Some cheap ass 350 W PSU probably won't be sufficient.

no way a 350W can power a system with a 9800GT in it.

do not agree. i have a POS dell with whatever crappy PS came with it, and I run a Q6600 proc and 9800GT + a number of hard drives etc with no issues. I put a kill-a-watt on it and i wasn't even breaking 200 watts under something close to a full load

^ Whats a kill-a-watt? I might go out today and get this 9800 GT, what about a 9800 GTX, so you think my HP Elite m9500f PSU can run it? Here is the computer, and I have nothing extra in it http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01612588&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=&cc=us&product=3867491&lang=

I have a 250gb hard drive @ 5600 RPM, and running Windows 7 32-bit, which both are a downgrade from the stock set-up, and I don't know if it makes watt usage less, I was just letting you know.

^ kill-a-watt is a device that goes between the device and the power socket that measures energy usage (over time, immediately, whatever)
