this smacks of disappointment of not getting a gunship billet out of basic...i imagine it's much like guy who want to fly 18's and instead get to deliver mail on a C-2

Nah, the other day I ran into an article about these guys and their operation in Afghanistan. They're pretty bad-ass.

Although Wolf2Ranger is leaving out the part where those other, armed helicopters frequently escort his ass in case somebody needs to get kilt.

I'll probably be leaving the Prowler community pretty soon...once I leave active duty, I think I want to fly either Apaches or Kiowas in the Guard.

^^ very true, the 64's have used us as "bait" but I dont blame them. Badguys dont shoot at 64's too much anymore
