I don't really do either of these activities, but I just realized that my right leg is often more sore than my left leg after prolonged periods of walking (or running, etc), and I think it's because I somehow put more weight on it (or maybe it's a teeny bit longer?).

I noticed today too that if I carry my laptop bag on my left shoulder as opposed to my right, the tenderness diminishes significantly in my right leg.

Do they make weights that you can wear to "balance" yourself out, that you can jog in, if I were to ever take that up?

You could possibly do some physical training/get some chiropractic work and maybe get yourself straightened out.

I've got a similar problem, but I know the cause. I have a small varicose vein on my right shin, so it starts to hurt after any extended period of walking/jogging. The pain is in a fairly concentrated spot, not the entire leg. The vein is just barely visible, I have to move the skin covering my shin up and down to notice it.

Try the chrio like craptastic said. I have a slight curve in my spine and hips don't quite sit straight, so my right shoulder looks lower than my left when I stand up straight. The chrio can work on stuff like that over time and eventually correct the problem. Your issue could be something similar, so it's probably worth at least having one check you out to see if its structural and can be corrected that way.

you probably have one leg that's shorter than the other and thus have a different stride for each leg.
