Before everything happened, if you were a hockey player, it was pretty easy. I go to school here with people who went to high school in Wasilla with the older Palin kids and Levi. They have some awesome stories.

None. Fairbanks in in the middle of the state. The Aleutian Islands have a good shot though and Juneau has a good view of Canada.

Cant say I have been mauled. The only real bear danger is in the villages, but if one gets close enough they will just take it down.

Decent Mexican, nothing to write home about. If you ever find yourself in Anchorage or Fairbanks, DO NOT go to Gallos for Mexican. Terrible.

The two best times are in mid July, for the summer solstice and any time during the winter, if that is your thing. Fairbanks is a great area to start it, visit the whole Tanana Valley, then go south into Denali and do some hiking and river rafting. Finish in southern Alaska, around Anchorage, Valdez or Seward and do some fishing.
